Jodie Lynnette Lemons and Casey Austin Booth, both of King, were married at 6 p.m. April 30 at the Embassy Suites in Winston-Salem by the Rev. Paul Bruce Harris, the groom’s grandfather.
The bride is the daughter of Marty and Robin Lemons of Walnut Cove. Her grandparents are H.C. Lemons of Sandy Ridge and the late Louise Lemons, and the late Jimmy and Nancy Heath. She graduated from North Stokes High School and received a B.S. in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is the Controller at Jacob’s Contracting, LLC in Winston Salem.
The groom is the son of Regina and David McGee of King and Jeff and Debbie Booth of Westfield. His grandparents are Bruce and Becky Harris of King, and James and Mable Booth of Westfield. His step grand-parents are Junior Marsh of King and the late Lorene Marsh, and Barbara Porter of Fuquay-Varina and the late Eugene Porter. He graduated from North Stokes High School and received a B.S. in Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is an Engineer at Allied Design, Inc. in Winston Salem.
The bride was escorted by her father. The matron of honor was the bride’s sister-in-law, Gabrielle Lemons of Rural Hall. The maids of honor were the brides cousin, Katelyn Heath of Walnut Cove, and the groom’s sister, Hannah Booth of King. Bridesmaids were Ashley Mays, Lauren Wall and Stephanie Mitchell, all of Walnut Cove; Calli Mabe of Winston Salem; Katie Hall of Sandy Ridge; and Caressa Samuel of Columbia, S.C. The flower girl was Lora Gallimore of Walnut Cove.
The best men were the groom’s brothers, Jacob McGee of King and Tyler Parker of Westfield. Groomsmen were the bride’s brother, Cody Lemons of Rural Hall; the bride’s cousins Chris Joyce of Sandy Ridge and Isaac Heath of Walnut Cove; Cole Greene and Brian Mays, both of Walnut Cove; Derek Ward of Madison; Casey Lentz of Winston Salem; and Phillip Riggsbee of Southern Pines. The ushers were the groom’s cousins, Quinton Wall and Evan Wall, both of King, and Peyton McGee of Fuquay-Varina. The ring bearer was the bride’s cousin, Jacob Heath of Walnut Cove.
The wedding director was Tracey Ford-Curtis, and Dane Joyce provided ceremony music. Program attendants were Sydney McGee and Miranda Tedder. The guest-register attendant was Mallory Tedder.
Flowers were designed by Always and Forever Florist, and the wedding cake was provided by Artist Way Bakery.
Following the ceremony, a reception was hosted by the bride’s parents and the groom’s mother and stepfather at the Embassy Suites Grand Ballroom with entertainment by Dana Joyce.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the room’s father and stepmother, was held at the Hickory Room in Winston-Salem.
A bachelorette party was held April 2 in Nashville, Tenn., and a bachelor party was held in Charleston, S.C. on April 9. Jacob’s Contracting, LLC hosted a wedding shower on April 7, and a bridal shower was held at Moores Spring Manor in Westfield on April 9. A bridesmaid’s dinner was held at Little Italy Restaurant in King on April 28, and a bridal luncheon was held at Embassy Suites on April 30.
After a honeymoon to Saint George, Grenada, the couple will live in King.
