Residents of King may have noticed some new construction in the area recently.
King Director of Planning and Inspections said there are number of new construction projects currently underway.
“We have the Allegacy FCU being built on Carmel Drive,” said Cox. “It has 4,262 sq.ft. and should be completed by late September.”
Two sets of mini-storage facilities are being constructed along Mountianview Road, according to Cox.
“There is one by Eagle Storage and one by Mountainview Mini-storage,” he said. “Colony Center Shopping Center is getting an exterior face lift, and we’ve had good activity in our residential S/D over the last couple of months.”
The big construction project many in the area are waiting for, however, still has not broken ground.
“Walmart stated they will be starting sometime first of the year,” said Cox. “They are several months behind and missed their window of opportunity to start back a few months ago.”
