A Walnut Cove man is behind bars following an Aug. 9 break-in according to the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office.
Roman Darry Barker, 22, of 4703 Hwy. 89 E, Walnut Cove, is charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession stolen goods, and obtaining property under false pretenses. He is under a $2,500 secured bond.
Capt. Danny Bottoms said Barker was arrested on Aug. 12, following an investigation into a breaking and entering on East Road in Walnut Cove NC that was reported on Aug. 9.
He said items that were stolen in the break-in were jewelry, money and guitar, noting that most of the items stolen have been recovered and returned to the owners.
“ We are going to continue to do our part to bring this type crime to justice,” said Sheriff Mike Marshall.
