South Stokes Class of 1965 holds 50th Year Reunion


The South Stokes High School Class of 1965.


On Aug. 22, the first graduating class of South Stokes High School celebrated their 50th anniversary.

The celebration was held at the Pilot Knob Club in Pilot Mountain. Everyone had a great time with great food, memories and renewing old friendships from the last fifty years.

There were 73 graduates present and a total of 109. There were several classmates from different states. Donnie James came the longest distance from the state of Washington.

They recognized the veterans and their spouses that were in the class, thanking them for their service to the country.

The names were read of the classmates who had passed away and a moment of silence followed.
