Stokes Cooperative Extension in partnership with Certified Beekeeper Will Kiser and the King Public Library will present an introductory beekeeping class on Monday, October 12 at 6:00 PM. The class will be held in the Shelton Room at the library.
The class is designed for those interested in learning more about beekeeping prior to starting their own hives. Topics to be covered include site selection, personal safety concerns and protective equipment, what to buy, where to buy it, costs, and purchasing bees.
There is no fee to attend the class, however advance registration is requested.
