An 18-year-old Danbury resident and anther teen are facing first degree murder charges following a Dec. 26 incident at the Eagle Express in Madison.
Investigators with the Rockingham Sheriff’s Office said Blaine Alexander Camp, 18, of 1309 Northview Church Road, Danbury, and Jesse Lee McCollum, 17, of 858 Washburn Road, Madison, were charged with first degree murder on Dec. 26. McCollumis under a $1 million bond and Camp is being held without bond at the Rockingham County Detention Facility. They are scheduled to appear in District Court on Jan. 11, 2016.
On Dec. 29, investigators obtained additional arrest warrants for first degree murder on Demarcus Kellam, 22, of 225 Maple Street in Eden, Tysean Ghaute Kellam, 17, of 123 The Boulevard in Eden and Jamie Renee Aiken, 19, of 209 W. Matthews Street in Stoneville.
Aiken has been arrested and is now in the Rockingham County Detention Facility under no bond. Tysean Kellam turned himself into police on Dec. 29 and is in the Rockingham County Detention Facility under no bond.
At press time police were still searching for Demarcus Kellam.
Police have released few details about the incident, but said the suspects were arrested after Rockingham County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported gunshot wound at the Eagle Express, located at 2301 Hwy. 220, at 2:35 a.m. on Dec. 26. Officers reported they found Lopez Anthony Dalton, of 4045 Vance Street in Reidsville, deceased at the scene.
Police said they could not release any more information at this time since it is an ongoing investigation.
