Community feeds first responders

The Wellington Home Owners Association made sure the King first responders had a good, home cooked meal while keeping the community safe during the holidays. About a dozen home owners prepared and delivered food to the King Fire Department last week and encouraged the station to invite city, county and state police to stop by and grab a bite. “We felt if we did it maybe other communities would do it as well,” said a spokesman for the Wellington Home Owners Association. “King is a great community and this just shows how the community rallies behind each other,” said King Fire Chief Steve Roberson. “We feel honored that they did this.”
