The United Fund of Stokes County is hosting a Dine Out for Stokes event on Friday, March 11, to help raise money for all that the United Fund does in the county.
“We are asking the residents of Stokes County to go out and support the participating restaurants on this night,” said united Fund Executive Director Michele Mabe. “The participating restaurants have pledged to give to the United Fund.”
Resteraunts participating in the event include Artist’s Way, Danbury General Store and Lulu’s Pizza-N-Stuff in Danbury, King Kitchen in King, and Sam’s Pizza in Walnut Cove.
The United Fund of Stokes County provides funding support to 17 members in the county including: American Red Cross, Bowman Gray Child Guidance, Boy Scouts, Old Hickory Council, Cancer Services, Group Homes of Forsyth, Hospice & Palliative Care Center, Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care Center, Partnership for a Drug-Free NC, Stokes Family YMCA, The Salvation Army ,Stokes Advocacy Council to Seniors, Stokes County 4-H Program, Stokes County Public Library, Stokes County Special Olympics, Stokes Friends of Youth, Stokes SCAN, and Stokes Family Violence Services.
