Ethan McCray Smith was among 93 Greensboro College students to receive degrees during the college’s Commencement exercises on Saturday, May 2. Smith, of Danbury, received a B.A. in English & Communication Studies, cum laude.

Mallie Ziglar of Lawsonville named to JMU president’s list

Lawsonville resident Mallie Elizabeth Ziglar has been named to the president’s list at James Madison University for the spring 2015 semester. Students who earn president’s list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.900 or above. Ziglar is a freshman whose major is Interdisc Liberal Studies – BS.

Mary Burton earns MS in Criminal Justice from Fayetteville State University

Mary Burton, of King, graduated from Fayetteville State University with a MS in Criminal Justice on May 9, 2015. Fayetteville State University’s 148th Spring Commencement was held at the Crown Coliseum.

Greensboro College Announces Spring 2015 Dean’s List

Greensboro College is pleased to announce that 166 students achieved Dean’s List academic standing for the Spring 2015 semester. To qualify, a student must have a 3.5 grade-point average or better while having taken at least half of his/her course credit hours at Greensboro College’s main campus.

Emily Tucker Receives Degree from Georgia Tech

Emily Tucker of Lawsonville, has earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.

Tucker was among approximately 2,700 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees during Georgia Tech’s 249th commencement exercises on May 1 and 2 at the McCamish Pavilion.

Emily Tucker of Lawsonville, made the Dean’s List for Spring semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have a 3.0 or higher academic average for the semester.
