The second annual Francisco Community Day will be held Saturday at the Francisco Community building from 7:30 a.m. until 2 pm.

The day-long event offers a variety of activities for both children and adults.

For adults there will be 30-minute CPR classes, a demonstration by the Surry Yadkin EMC, a place to drop off old or out-of-date medicine and information on roadside clean ups.

Adults can also get children’s car seats properly installed, learn about community entertainment venues, have weight and body mass evaluated and see AirCare land at the Francisco Fire Department.

Free snacks and a hot dog lunch will be available and breakfast food will be available to purchase in the morning.

The first 100 visitors will get a free gift bag.

Organizers of the event have not forgotten children, providing a variety of activities for those young and young at heart.

Smokey the Bear will be on site as well as a bounce house and a fire safety house. Kids can also see the Francisco Volunteer Fire Department’s new fire engine, learn hands-only CPR and get an identification card made by the Stokes County Sheriff’s Department.

The Francisco Community Building is located at 7100 NC 89 West.
