Times of Refreshing Ministries, located at The Well, 201 E. 2nd St., Walnut Cove, is offering its annual youth Bible School—SUPER SUMMER. This dynamic program will be held every Thursday from 6-8:45 p.m. for 5 weeks for K-12th grade youth. There will also be an adult class. The theme is “Back to the Garden”—how Jesus, through His shedding of blood in 7 places, won back everything that was lost in the Garden of Eden. The nightly schedule is: 6-6:30: outdoor games/fellowship (OPTIONAL); 6:30-7: FREE meal; 7-7:30: outdoor opening assembly (includes prayer, nightly Bible theme, music, dancing, skits, prizes); 7:30-8:45: indoor class time (Bible lesson, 15-minute arts/crafts time outdoors, prayer time). There will also be a grand finale parents’ night shortly after the 5th week of Bible School—date to be announced shortly.

July 10- July 14

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL “The Tree House” at Snow Hill United Methodist Church – Sunday, July 10 through Thursday, July 14, beginning at 6:30 p.m. each day. If you are between 3 and 11 years old you are invited to participate in VBS “The Tree House” for an action-packed adventure through the Bible! Trees represent life, just like God’s Word gives us life through His promises. Study God’s promise of love, hope, salvation, provision, and power. They will use skits, craftivities, games, fun, and snacks. A fun, exciting, musical Vacation Bible School is planned for your school-aged children at Danbury Community Church, 300 Main Street. The VBS will be held July 18-22 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Children will learn to participate in a delightful musical based on the story of Noah and the ark which will be directed by Maya Burgess. Cartridge collecting — Harvest Temple Church of God is now collecting empty inkjet cartridges for recycling. Cartridges can be deposited in the collection bin next to the daycare office. Simply place an old cartridge in a plastic sandwich bag and deposit it in the collection bin. The acceptable cartridges are listed next to the cartridge bin next to the daycare office.
