This year’s annual FunDay hosted by CenterPoint Human Services and Insight Human Services is set for Friday, Sept. 25 at King Central Park from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The event, which has brought in nearly 800 people in years past, offers free entertainment, food, and activities for the whole family.
“This is an event to help bring awareness to those who struggle with mental health challenges. It effects more families than people realize. We just want to celebrate the lives of everyone,” said advocate and event organizer Wanda Roberson.
With the help of financial and community donations FunDay offers stage entertainment from Kris Jonczak and Star Catchers, Charity Hampton along with: Corn Hole, Hula Hoops, Jump Rope, Bingo, Inflatable Bounce House, Krispy Kreme Donut Station, Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Snow Cones, and interactive presentations by local community groups and volunteers.
“We’re excited about the sponsors this year and believe it’s going to be a great day for families to enjoy free food and entertainment,” Roberson said.
