BeBop wins first place


BeBop, a dance group led by Don Richardson of Walnut Cove participated in the Yadkin Valley Senior Games / Silver Arts at the Willingham Theater at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center. The group won first place in the line dancing event doing their routine to the song “The Bomp!”

Richardson teaches Line Dancing at the Walnut Cove Senior Center on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday 1 p.m. and Friday at 1 p.m. Richardson also teaches One Foot Forward, a line dancing class at the King Senior Center on Friday at 10 a.m.

Richardson and various line dancers from his classes perform during the month at the local skilled nursing / assisted living facilities. They are in King at Village Care on the second Wednesday and Priddy Manor on the second and fourth Thursday. The line dancers are in Walnut Cove at Walnut Cove Health and Rehabilitation Center the third Tuesday and Walnut Ridge Assisted Living the first and third Wednesday.
