Sons of the American Legion

Sons of The American Legion Squadron 290 was chartered in the summer of 1999. The first year of membership was 2000. Charter members totaled 58 men and boys whose father or grandfathers were or are members of the American Legion.

Because of lack of members attending meeting, SAL Squadron 290 ceased to meet for several years but kept the membership in tack. Under the leadership and help of King American Legion Commander Don Holland, King Sons of The American Legion Squadron 290 met on Monday night with Commander Holland officiating. New officers were elected. They are: Jim Rosamond, Roger Cook, Phil Holt, Garnett Calloway, Darrell Calloway, Walton Calloway, Don Holland, Post 290 Commander, and Cliff Kilby, Vice Commander District 18.
