Intern recognized for contributions

Cheryl Larson, an intern for the city of King, was recognized by the council at their monthly meeting for the work she’s done throughout the summer. Larson is finishing a program in criminal justice at Appalachian State University and will soon begin studies in the master’s program for public administration. City Town Manager, Homer Dearmin praised Larson’s work as an intern with each of the city departments, but primarily the police department. “She has been a tremendous asset to the city over the summer and I think she has an incredibly bright future in public service,” he said.
