Tee of the Triad

The First Tee Life National School Program will be coming to a Stokes County school near you.

On Aug. 18, the First Tee of the Triad will host a training session for all Stokes county K-5 Physical Education teachers, enabling them to teach the First Tee 9 core values, 9 healthy habits and golf skills to all K-5 students.

A generous local benefactor donated all of the funds for the equipment, training manuals and in-person training so that the positive First Tee life skills could be presented to the local children in Stokes County.

First Tee National School Program trainer Jeanne Bryne and local First Tee Coaches Ken & Stacey Albright provided a 4-hour fun packed and thorough training program to ensure PE teachers understood and could effectively deliver the First Tee Program.

The First Tee National School Program is now being taught in 132 schools in Forsyth, Guilford, Stokes and Rockingham Counties. The First Tee of the Triad also provides afterschool programming at 16 locations around the triad and reaches on average 1300 area children per season.
