Orders for fall planting bulbs will be taken by Master Gardener Volunteers on Wednesdays at King Farmers Market throughout the month of Sept. Market hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a Master Gardener booth at Stokes Stomp, Festival on the Dan Sept. 10 and 11 to take orders. Orders can be placed online at semgva.org, and will also be taken by any SEMGVA member through the month of Sept.
Bulbs will be sold by the dozen; selections will include four colors of daffodils, three colors of tulips, and a mixed-color hyacinth. Each bag of twelve bulbs will sell for $10.00.
Cash and credit card payments will be accepted.
Bulbs will be available for pickup Oct. 28 and 29 at the libraries in King and Walnut Cove, and at Francisco Community Center. Please note: online orders will indicate only one pickup point, in King. This is a technical limitation of the website only. Arrangements will be made to utilize all three pickup stations.
When ordering online or in person, photos of the varieties are available to indicate colors available.
The bulbs will come from a North Carolina nursery.
This project is a fund raiser for the Master Gardener Volunteer Association. Proceeds will be used to promote gardening and horticulture programs and education in Stokes County.
