A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Junior Rogers of the Collinstown community! Junior turned 81 years young August 11. If you see him, (and you probably will since he stays outside doing yard work or working on the fence), give him a big “shout out!”

Colleen Collins is back at home from Pioneer Hospital of Stokes. Family says she is doing better, but please continue to keep Colleen in your prayers.

Clyde Pack is also home from the hospital. Please continue to keep Clyde in your prayers also.

Barbara Wright is a patient at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Please lift Barbara up in your prayers this week. She is such a nice lady and everyone loves her.

Don’t forget the “Big Bash-Back to School Send Off” for our students from Francisco that are going to other schools, since Francisco Elementary has closed. Our community is planning a HUGE event for these kids. We’re talking food, games, free school supplies and other surprises. Mark your calendar for Friday, August 21, Francisco Elementary School, starting at 5:00 pm. If you would like to donate school supplies such as notebooks, paper, pencils, crayons, Kleenex, etc. or monetary donations, please call Sylvia Burton at 336-351-3216 or email me at Items need to be in no later than August 19. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

“Our Communities” group continues to have weekly meetings at the Francisco Community Building, Saturday at 9:00 am. Please bring a breakfast item to serve at least 6 people. We look forward to hearing ideas and making plans to make our community a more wonderful place to live.
