Congratulations to grandparents David and Bonnie Williams of the Collinstown community, on the birth of their new granddaughter, Charly Belle. Their daughter, Mallory and her husband, Chad Grose, welcomed the new baby November 4. Charly Belle weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces. I’ll bet big brother, Nate, was excited!

The annual Family and Awards Night was Sunday, November 1, at the Francisco Community Building. The very large crowd enjoyed supper and members of each organization were honored with outstanding service awards. They are as follows: Fireman of the Year- Atherton Jessup, Rescue Captain of the Year – Stephen Jessup, Ladies Auxiliary Woman of the Year – Brenda George, Ruritan of the Year – Melvin George. Congratulations to each of these individuals! We are blessed to have these people in our community!

Don’t forget the “Our Communities” meeting, Monday, November 16, at the Francisco Community Building. Our “souper supper” will start at 6:30 pm with a variety of homemade soups and breads. The discussions will begin at 7:00 and a dessert buffet (my favorite part) will be at 8:30 pm. This very well could be the most important meeting that we have had since the closing of our elementary school. We want your ideas to be heard! Please come and support our community!

Ruritan Club Bingo will be held at the Francisco Community Building, Saturday, November 21. Hot dogs will be served at 6:00 pm and the games start at 7:00 pm. The cost is $20 for twenty games. This is a cash prize event and we hope to see you there!
