Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! Did you eat too much? Of course! I had to get out my “fat “pants! But that’s OK. Back to a full schedule this week!

The Francisco Ladies Auxiliary is having their annual Christmas Bazaar Saturday, December 5, at the Francisco Community Building. Breakfast will be ready at 7:30 am and will consist of country ham, sausage, gravy, biscuits, grits, eggs, apples, orange juice and coffee. Vendors will be on hand to sell Christmas gifts for those special people in your life (so much easier than going to the mall)! Tickets are also being sold for a beautiful handmade Christmas afghan that will be given away that day. The price is $2 per ticket or 3 for $5. This is a big event for these ladies and will only last till noon so come early and hungry!

R.W. Goins and Colleen Collins returned to their homes last week after stays in the hospital. Please keep both families in your prayers.

Please keep the family of Gene Smith in your prayers. Gene passed away last week after an extended illness. He is the father of Regina Huff of the Johnstown community.

The Francisco, Westfield, Lawsonville, South Stokes and Double Creek Volunteer Fire Departments participated in a fire training exercise last Saturday. They burned a house in the Asbury area. An exercise like this is so important to our fire departments. The Ladies Auxiliary provided breakfast and lunch for the volunteers.
