The Sandy Ridge Elementary School’s holiday concert on Dec. 10th was wonderful! The kids did an awesome job. They had an unexpected “special” visitor. Santa Claus!

Thanks to all who came out for Sandy Ridge Music Association’s bluegrass and gospel music on Dec. 12th. The Chords of Faith and Debbie Bennett performed, and they were wonderful. Most memorable was a song that Rosemary Martin sang for her dad. Mr. Francis is 94 and is terminally ill. Hospice has been called in to help the family care for him. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
“I am old but I am forever young at heart. We are always the same age inside. Know that you are the perfect age. Each year is special and precious, you can only live it once. Do not regret growing older, it’s a privilege denied to many!” ——Richard Gere
TRIED AND TASTED RECIPES
This recipe was given to me by a dear friend, Viola Hill.
2 cans mixed vegetables, drained
1 medium onion, chopped
1 ½ cups grated cheddar cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 can soup – cream of chicken, mushroom or celery (I use cream of chicken)
Mix above in a bowl.
Crush two rolls of Ritz crackers. Melt 1 stick margarine and mix with crackers.
Pour ½ of crackers into casserole dish. Pour in vegetable mixture and top with remaining crackers.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, or until bubbly.

This is beautiful for Christmas.

Mix cream cheese and confectioners sugar together.
Prepare Dream Whip and milk as directed on package.
Add cheese mixture to Dream Whip.
