The Chicken Stew held at the Francisco Fire Department last Saturday was a success! Thanks to all the volunteers who participated and to all the people who bought stew. The fire department really appreciates your support!

The Francisco Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor Bingo night at the Francisco Community Building Saturday, March 19. The theme of the games is “Food Folly.” Prizes will include food items and cookware to prepare them in. Hot dogs will be ready at 6:00 pm and the games start at 7:00 pm. The cost is $20 for 20 games. Hope to see you there!

Please keep Jennifer Overby in your prayers. She is scheduled to have surgery next week in Winston Salem. Jennifer has been through so much since her cancer diagnosis but remains positive and upbeat. She is such a blessing to her family and anyone she comes in contact with. Jennifer, her husband, Keith and son Joseph live in the Aaron’s Corner community.

A little Election Day humor for you: You know those polling calls that everyone hates? I received one Monday night at 9:00 pm. “On a scale from 1 -10, how likely are you to vote in the Missouri Primary?” Really???

And finally… a big “shout out” to whomever was responsible for the wonderful artwork across from the Francisco Community Building on Election Day! It brought a huge smile to a lot of people!! Freedom of speech is alive and well in Francisco, and I love it!!
