Trinity United Methodist Church – Hello Garden Enthusiasts! This year’s community garden at Trinity UMC is being used as a project of the Girl Scout Troop, #41655. King Of Spades Garden Club will have their annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 14 at O’Reilly Auto Parts, 608 S. Main Street, King. 1 box white cake mix
1 box strawberry jello
1 cup Wesson oil
1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup chopped nuts
½ cup milk
Mix all ingredients like other cakes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and cook 25-30 minutes. Makes three 9” layers, or bake in tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour.

1 stick margarine or butter
½ cup strawberries
½ cup chopped nuts
½ cup flaked coconut
Mix and spread on cooled cake
Strawberry Punch Bowl Cake
1 Angel Food Cake 1 large box (5 ounce) instant vanilla pudding mix 3 cups milk 1 Lg.Container Cool Whip 1 Quart fresh strawberries sliced
Tear cake into small pieces. Prepare pudding as directed. Fold cool whip into pudding mix well save one cup of cool whip for topping. Place 1/3 cake pieces in a bowl. Top with 1/3 pudding mixture and 1/2 strawberries. Repeat and top with remaining pudding mixture. Top with the remaining cool whip. Garnish with strawberry. Refrigerate.
Strawberry Shortcake Trifle
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk 1 1/2 cups cold water 1 (5.1 oz) large package instant vanilla pudding mix 2 cups whipping or heavy cream 1 t vanilla extract 1 T sugar 1 (12-ounce) ready-made pound cake 4 cups unsweetened sliced strawberries
Cut pound cake into thin slices with Serrated Bread Knife. Slice strawberries with Forged Paring Knife or Egg Slicer Plus.
Combine sweetened condensed milk and cold water in 6 qt Stainless Mixing Bowl with Stainless Steel Whisk. Add instant vanilla pudding mix and beat well. Chill for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, beat cream, vanilla & sugar until stiff in chilled 4 qt Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl. Fold into the pudding mixture with Small Mix ‘N Scraper.
Layer pound cake, pudding, and strawberries in Trifle Bowl. Repeat the layers; garnish with reserved strawberries.
Chill 30 minutes before serving.
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. cinnamon
2 cups sugar (all granulated, or half granulated and half light-brown)
4 eggs, well beaten
11/4 cups oil
2 cups sliced, fresh strawberries (or 2 10-ounce packages frozen strawberries, thawed and sliced)
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease, and flour two large loaf pans.
Sift flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and sugar into a large bowl. Make a well in the center. In separate bowl, beat eggs and oil, then stir in strawberries and pecans (if using). Pour wet ingredients into well of dry ingredients and stir just enough to dampen all ingredients.
Pour batter into loaf pans and bake 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted in the center come out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan, then remove to wire rack and cool completely. Makes 2 large loaves.
