The three day clean-up of the agriculture building at Francisco School was a dirty but successful event. Several volunteers worked to remove, clean and inventory items that had been in storage since Noah (just kidding). They also cleaned out some of the lower classrooms. Texie Jessup, one of the volunteers, said it went “really well.” Thank you to all who gave up their evening and Saturday morning to help.

There will be a potluck (covered dish) supper Tuesday evening, June 14, starting at 6:00 pm at the Francisco Community Building. Everyone is invited to bring their favorite dish, (you know, the one that mama taught you how to fix) and come out for an evening of fellowship and fun. I’m hoping to have music there too. I’m currently working on that. So come on out and enjoy some great food and get to know your neighbors!

There will be Summer Backyard Bingo at the Francisco Community Building Saturday, June 25. The hot dogs will be ready at 6:00 pm and the games start at 7:00 pm. The cost is $20 for 20 games. This event is sponsored by “Our Communities Group.” All proceeds go toward the upkeep of the community building.

Be mindful of all the tractors and hay equipment that may be on our roads in the next few days. Farmers are really busy now trying to get these first cuttings in. With all the rain we have had, it looks like they have a lot of work to do, so just be extra careful while you are traveling.
