We will have Summer Backyard Bingo Saturday, June 25, at the Francisco Community Building. Hot dogs will be ready at 6:00 pm and the games start at 7:00 pm. The cost is $20 for twenty games and all proceeds go toward the upkeep of the building. This event is sponsored by the Our Communities Group. Hope to see you there!
Is it hot enough for you yet? I find as I get older, hot weather is not my friend. Please do not leave your children or pets in your vehicle while you go grocery shopping. Cars heat up extremely quickly during these hot summer months. Also keep plenty of cold water for any outside pets you may have. Before you leave for work in the morning, put a few ice cubes in the pet’s water. They like a cold drink of water just like we do.
Speaking of pets, our beloved boxer, Buster, passed away Monday. Cancer is a disease that can not only affect people; it can overtake your animal friends too. Buster lived a good long life and at age 14, he was tired. Some may say he was just a dog, but he was our dog and had more personality than some people I know. Rest in peace my friend.
