Nancy Reynolds News - In honor of Juanita Gordy

We hope everyone had a safe Labor Day weekend!

We extend sympathy to the family of Rachel Martin who passed away last week.

The fundraiser for the Nancy Reynolds School students will be this Saturday, September 10 with the meal starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Rock House Ruritan Club on Highway 268 East of Pilot Mountain. Hot dogs, baked beans, drink and dessert for a minimum donation of $5.00 per plate will be served. There will also be an auction starting at 6:30 p.m. of homemade baked goods and other items.

The Double Creek Fire Department will have a yard sale September 10 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tables are available to rent for $15 each. Please contact them if you are interested.

The Rock House Ruritans will have a yard sale in the basement on September 16 and 17 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Homemade canned food items like chow chow, tomatoes, and pickles will be available.

Happy 18th birthday to Amber Dehart on September 2!

Homecoming will be held October 9 at Brims Grove Baptist Church. Wayne Moore will be the guest speaker.

The Pilot Mountain Outreach needs some volunteers at the food pantry and thrift store. Please call 336-368-4907 or stop by and see them.

School has started back. Please watch out for the children getting off and on the buses. Pray for their safety and the teachers!
