Southeastern raises money for good cause


Wake Forest basketball players John Collins, Keyshawn Woods, and Greg McClinton traveled to Southeastern Middle School on Friday afternoon to play in a dunk expedition and help the school raise $850 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Southeastern Middle School’s student council held their first ever Deacon-Warrior Throw Down on Friday, April 22. The student vs. faculty game included halftime entertainment of a dunk expedition provided by Wake Forest basketball players John Collins, Keyshawn Woods, and Greg McClinton. The trio took on the faculty in a game of “Pig”, then signed autographs and took pictures with students. South Stokes High School participated by sending members of their faculty and principal Wayne Duggins to help play and coach the game. Celebrity referee “Hugs” the Intern from 107.5 also made a special appearance. Southeastern’s student council raised $850 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
