Two Northern Triad Soccer Club teams have recently claimed titles.

The U15 Strikeforce Select Boys team won their division championship at the Beat the Heat tournament in Winston–Salem the weekend of April 23–24. They won three games and lost one on the way to the championship. On Saturday, they beat PTFC from High Point 4-2 and then lost to OBX Storm 4-1. On Sunday they prevailed over CASL 1-0 to advance to the title game and a rematch with OBX Storm. In a hard fought match Strikeforce came out on top 2-1.

The U12 Strikeforce Select earned their second consecutive division title with a 5-3 victory over URYSA on Saturday. The team finished the season on top of the table with a record of 7 wins and 1 loss. The team lost the first game of the season and then won seven straight to close out the season. The team also competed in the weekend Kimoyo Cup in Roanoke, Va. May 7-8 earning a second place finish.

If anyone is interested in becoming a part of one of Northern Tryout Soccer Club’s Classic or Select teams this fall, tryouts will be held between May 21st and June 4th. Tryouts will be for ages 10 to 18. A tryout schedule and additional information can be found on the club’s website at www.ntsoccerclub.com.
