West Stokes defeated North Iredell 26-9 Friday night.

West Stokes picked up a 26-9 win at home against North Iredell on Friday. Quarterback Reid Fulk threw a 60-yard touchdown pass to Charlie Freeman for the Wildcats first score of the night. Senior Patrick Ellis, who holds the school record for PAT’s, added the extra point.

In the third quarter, Devan Hairston scrambled for a 35-yard run giving the Wildcats a 20-9 lead. Tacari Stokes added an 8-yard touchdown with less than three minutes left in the game. Defensively, Ty Walker led with 23 tackles, setting a school record for an individual game, and Parker Pratt added 6 tackles and 2 sacks. The Wildcats (2-1) travel to East Surry (2-1) for a non-conference matchup on Friday, Sept. 9 beginning at 7:30 p.m.
