Ethan Elliott has accomplished on the tennis courts what no one else has done at West Stokes. He competed in the 2A NCHSAA State Tennis championships for a third year in a row on Friday.

Elliott won his first match against Mason Hewett of South Columbus High School 6-0, 6-1, but lost in the second round to Daniel Crutcher of Maiden. The senior won the first set 6-3, lost the second 6-1, and then fell in the third and final set 6-4 after he had battled back and tied the last set at 4-4.

Elliott finished his career at West Stokes as a three-time Western Piedmont Athletic Conference All-Tournament champion, two-time Conference Player of the Year, Regional Champion, top 16 finisher in the state and two-time top eight finisher at the state level.
