Four local men face robbery charges in Stokes County.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division charged Casey Goolsby, Christian Kain Thomas, Corey Lee Morgan, Tyler Eugene Gengler and one juvenile after the Stokes County Sheriff’s office responded to a call in Walnut Cove. Upon arrival, deputies found the homeowner and a juvenile had been assaulted and the homeowner’s pocketbook stolen.

The victims were able to give a detailed suspect and vehicle description. Stokes County deputies quickly located the vehicle, and the suspects were positively identified.

“Our deputies acted quickly and were able to stop these suspects before they could rob again,” said Sheriff Mike Marshall.

Goolsby was charged with one count of common law robbery, one count of felony conspiracy and two counts of assault. He is under a $30,000 secured bond. Thomas was charged with one count felony conspiracy and one count aid and abet common law robbery. He is under a $15,000 secured bond. Morgan was charged with one count felony conspiracy and one count accessory before the fact. He is under a $10,000 secured bond. Gengler was charged with one count felony conspiracy and one count accessory before the fact. He is under a $7,500 secured bond.
