Stokes County Sheriff’s Office received a report of vandalism at the old Francisco Elementary School at 7165 NC 89 in Westfield on April 11. Deputies found someone had broken a window into the school and spray painted graffiti on the property. Detectives began an investigation into the incident and identified three juvenile suspects.

“What seemed like a fun idea to these kids is a punishable crime,” said Stokes County Sheriff Mike Marshall. “Although Francisco School is closed, it is still an important part of the community and I’m glad we could solve this case.”

Due to the offenders being juveniles, no suspect information can be disclosed.
