LAND TRANSFERS

In recording deeds, the state of North Carolina does not require that the amount paid for property be stated on the deed. However a tax stamp at the rate of $2 per $1,000 valuation or fraction is thereof affixed to each deed.

Joshua Morgan Qualls, 16, of 1868 Siloam Road, Mount Airy, for misdemeanor peeping while possessing a device capable of creating a photographic image.

Jerry Wayne Harper, 43, of 990 Hamilton Ridge Lane, Rural Hall, for misdemeanor aiding and abetting larceny.

Scott Alan Parham, 42, of 203 Marydale Drive, King, for misdemeanor possession of an open container.

Molly Elizabeth Harper, 31, of 990 Hamilton Ridge Lane, Rural Hall, for misdemeanor larceny.

Jack Ellwood Farmer II, 35, of 1017 Camp Dogwood Road, Pinnacle, for three counts misdemeanor assault on a government official, two counts misdemeanor resisting a public officer, and misdemeanor stalking. Bond is $2,500 secured.

Justin David Lujan, 22, of 912 Watauga Church Road, Franklin, for misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun.

William Douglas Bohlinger, 39, of 111 Woodhaven Drive, Stoneville, for misdemeanor driving while impaired, exceeding posted speed, and passing in a no passing zone.

KING INCIDENTS

The following incidents/investigations were reported to the King Police Department recently. The information includes the area where it occurred, the incident and any additional information provided about the incident.

Common law forgery, obtaining property by false pretenses, and common law uttering of forged paper were reported on South Main Street, King, when $560 fraudulent check and $1,700 fraudulent money orders were passed.

Larceny was reported at the American Legion, when $450 currency, $150 medication, drivers license, social security card, and child support card were stolen.

Breaking or entering and larceny were reported on Natalie Lane, King, when $399 Xbox, $64 video game, $30 Xbox controller, and $600 iPods were stolen.

Larceny, forgery, and uttering were reported on Pineview Drive, King, when check and treasury notes were stolen.

Possession of an open container was reported on North Main Street, King.

Larceny was reported on South Main Street, King, when $71.65 food was stolen.

Damage to real property was reported on East King Street, King, when subject punched hole in wall causing $1,800 damage.

Felonious larceny was reported on East King Street, King, when $20,000 vehicle was stolen.

Peeping was reported on South Main Street, King.

Damage to personal property was reported at Lowes Food, when $100 damage was done to vehicle.

ARRESTS

The following people were arrested and charged by the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office. The information includes the arrested person’s name, address and charges received.

Ryan Joseph Dechant, 25, of 2578 Pine Hall Road, Belews Creek, for misdemeanor failure to appear. Bond is $3,000 secured.

Justin Ray Dixon, 21, of 1032 Forrest Dweller Road, Germanton, for two counts misdemeanor failure to appear. Bond is $20,000 secured.

Tony Michael Holder, 31, of 121 Cobblestone Lane, King, for two counts financial card fraud and three counts obtaining property by false pretense. Bond is $5,000 secured.

Clarence David Johnson, 21, of 1731 Aberdeen Terrace, Winston-Salem, for misdemeanor driving while license revoked and misdemeanor expired tag. Bond is $200 secured.

Jerry Lee Joyce, 34, of 1078 Hunt Joyce Road, Madison, for misdemeanor communication threats.

Jeffrey Ryan Hall, 30, of 1325 Traffic Lane, King, for misdemeanor delinquent minor. Bond is $1,000 unsecured.

James William Macinnis, 29, of 1404 Highway 65 West, Walnut Cove, for misdemeanor violating a domestic violence protective order.

Bradley Dean Fulks, 34, of 1494 Jewel Road, Danbury, for misdemeanor failure to appear. Bond is $5,000 secured.

Abbie Leigh Smith, 45, of 1378 Rothrock Road, Walnut Cove, for misdemeanor disorderly conduct and misdemeanor resisting a public officer.

Susan Booth Rhudy, 39, of 1090 Sterling Point Drive, King, for misdemeanor simple assault.

Stephen Rhudy, 40, of 1090 Sterling Point Drive, King, for misdemeanor assault on a female.

Richard Allen Weeks, 19, of 2914 Anglin Mill Road, Stoneville, for first-degree trespassing and resist, obstruct, delay. Bond is $500 secured.

Larry Dane Baker, 50, of 101 Marie Drive, King, for misdemeanor assault on a female.

Assault and interfering with emergency communication were reported on Meadow View Drive, Tobaccoville.

Larceny and damage to property were reported on Moore Spring Road, when $6,000 steel beams were stolen and recovered and $2,500 damage was done to roadway.
